It's the technology age, so most people go on vacation to real estate in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico that they booked online, visit attractions that they learned about on the city's Wikipedia page, and navigate their way around the city using OnStar or GPS. Very few people still deal with old fashioned things like paper maps and visitor's bureaus. But there are a lot of advantages to checking out the visitor's bureau when you're on vacation. Here are just a few.
Visitor's Bureaus exist to promote and encourage tourists to visit the city. They're also interested in helping tourists have a good time while they're in the city so they'll go back to their Markham real estate wanting to come back and giving positive reviews to all their friends. A lot of their information will be accessible online through their websites, but often you can get freebies and coupons just for showing up in person. Many cities also sell multi-attraction tickets that will save you a lot of money on door prices.
The staff at the visitor's bureau will be extremely helpful and will do whatever they can to help you have a great time. Just talking to the staff at the bureau, who will all be locals, can help you get lots of insider information about the city. They will even help you find a Toronto bed & breakfast that is to your liking. If you let them call up and book it for you, sometimes you will even get a special discount for going through the visitor's bureau. Staff can also give you advice on neighborhoods to avoid, shows to see, and city history and culture.
Another great thing about going to the visitor's bureau in person is that it will be absolutely jam packed with brochures, free maps, and publications on things to do and see in the city. If you went to a shop, you would have to pay for a lot of the stuff they give away for free at the visitor's bureau. There will be brochures for Toronto taxis, guided sightseeing tours, museums, shows, fairs, concerts, and more. You can also get a schedule of things happening around the city and in many cases check your email for free and send postcards home.
If you're going to be visiting Syracuse in the near future, you can get started with you planning by going to the visitor's bureau website at www.visitsyracuse.org. You can get a lot of information while you're still at your Scarborough condominiums. But once you arrive, don't forget to visit in person. The office is located at 572 South Salina Street in downtown Syracuse.
